Coffee House Press
Founded in 1984, Coffee House Press has grown from a poetry magazine and letterpress to one of the premier nonprofit literary publishers in the nation. Now located in the Grain Belt Brewery Bottling House in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Coffee House Press publishes between sixteen and twenty distinctive books of fiction, nonfiction, and poetry a year. By building on the best traditions of publishing and the book arts, we produce books that celebrate imagination, innovation in the craft of writing, and the many authentic voices of the American experience.
Graywolf Press is an independent, not-for-profit publisher dedicated to the creation and promotion of thoughtful and imaginative contemporary literature essential to a vital and diverse culture. The Loft’s mission is to foster a writing community, the artistic development of writers, and an audience for literature. Founded in 1975, the member-supported Loft has grown to become the nation’s leading nonprofit literary arts center and features creative writing classes and workshops, readings and events, grants and awards, and online resources for writers.
Milkweed Editions is an independent book publisher. Founded in Minnesota as a nonprofit organization in 1980, the mission of Milkweed Editions is to identify, nurture and publish transformative literature, and build an engaged community around it.
Rain Taxi Review of Books
